Terms of Service

IT Support & Managed Services Terms – Oakville, Burlington, Milton & Mississauga

These Terms of Use apply to all IT support services, computer repair, managed IT services, and consulting provided by IntegrityTeks in Ontario, Canada.

1. About These Terms (IT Services Agreement)

These Terms of Use govern all services provided by IntegrityTeks, including:

  • Residential computer repair and troubleshooting
  • Small business IT support and managed services
  • Network setup, email configuration, and cloud services
  • Hardware installation and software support

By requesting service, you agree to these terms.

2. Definitions (IT Support & Technology Services)

2.1 Client (“You / Your”) – The individual or business authorizing IT services.
2.2 IntegrityTeks (“We / Us”) – IntegrityTeks, based in Oakville, Ontario.
2.3 IT Hardware – Computers, servers, networking equipment, and peripherals.
2.4 Software – Operating systems, applications, and licensed programs.
2.5 IT Products – Any hardware or software supplied or installed by IntegrityTeks.

3. IT Services & Customer Responsibilities

3.1 Data Backup Responsibility (Important)

Before any computer repair, IT support, or troubleshooting work, you are responsible for backing up your data.

IntegrityTeks is not responsible for:

  • Data loss
  • File corruption
  • System failure during repair or diagnostics

3.2 Service Scope & Limitations

We provide professional IT services but do not guarantee:

  • Resolution of all technical issues
  • Compatibility of third-party systems
  • Restoration of pre-existing device conditions

We may decline or stop service if necessary.

3.3 Access for IT Work

Clients must provide safe access to:

  • Devices and systems
  • Work areas
  • Power and internet connections

Failure to provide access may delay service or result in additional fees.

3.4 Authorization for IT Work

Only authorized individuals may approve work. For on-site IT services, an authorized contact must be present.

4. IT Warranty Policy

4.1 Service Warranty (20 Days)

IntegrityTeks provides a 20-day warranty on labour only.

This does NOT cover:

  • New or unrelated issues
  • Hardware failure
  • Software updates or external changes

4.2 Manufacturer Warranty (Hardware & Software)

Hardware and software warranties are provided by the manufacturer, not IntegrityTeks.

We may assist with warranty claims at standard labour rates.

4.3 Warranty Exclusions

Warranty is void if issues result from:

  • Viruses or malware
  • Power surges or electrical damage
  • Unauthorized repairs
  • Third-party parts or modifications

4.4 Customer-Supplied IT Parts

Customer-supplied parts are installed as-is.

We do not guarantee:

  • Compatibility
  • Performance
  • Authenticity
  • Reliability

Additional troubleshooting may incur extra charges.

5. Liability & Risk (IT Services Protection)

5.1 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Ontario law, IntegrityTeks is not liable for:

  • Data loss
  • Business interruption
  • Loss of revenue or profits
  • Device failure after service

5.2 Maximum Liability

If liability is established, it is limited to the amount paid for the specific service.

5.3 No Guarantee of Repair Outcome

While we apply industry best practices in IT support, we do not guarantee that every issue can be resolved.

6. Pricing, Payments & IT Service Fees

6.1 Pricing

All prices are subject to applicable Ontario taxes.

6.2 Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Some hardware or software purchases may require prepayment.

6.3 Late Payments

Overdue invoices may accrue interest at:

  • 20% per annum (1.67% monthly) after 30 days

6.4 Storage and Abandoned Equipment

Repaired equipment must be picked up promptly upon notification that service has been completed. IntegrityTeks reserves the right to charge reasonable storage fees for any equipment not collected within thirty (30) days after notification of completion, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Equipment remaining unclaimed for ninety (90) days after notification, despite reasonable attempts to contact you using the contact information you provided, may be deemed abandoned.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IntegrityTeks reserves the right to dispose of, recycle, sell or otherwise deal with abandoned equipment in order to recover outstanding amounts owing, storage fees and costs of disposal. Any remaining proceeds, if applicable, will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

IntegrityTeks shall not be liable for any loss of data or damage resulting from the disposal, recycling or sale of abandoned equipment carried out in accordance with these Terms.

7. Legal Information (Ontario IT Services)

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

IntegrityTeks reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates take effect once published on our website.
